Once the carving is completed the picture is hand painted in soft desert colors. The pieces require no framing. Her art is neither a painting nor a sculpture but a combination of both. The style is reminiscence of the old Fresco style.

Navajo Pots- Two Native American pots carved from a single piece of wood then placed on a Native American basket that is from a separate piece thus creating real dimension. This beautiful art piece measuring 16.5in. x 14in. brings a touch of the Southwest to any room either in your home or office.
This original design by Connie Baker is more than a sculpture and way more than just a painting. It is really a textural image reminiscent of old Fresco techniques. The artist applies stucco to wood then uses a palette knife to carve designs. Rope is then added for a final dimension then she completes her work by hand painting the piece with soft desert tones.
