Vintage “chip Inlay” oval belt buckle. Handcrafted by renown Navajo artist Tommy Singer. This overlay style of jewelry is a lost art that is rarely seen in this quality. The pattern in this buckle gets its inspiration from the Navajo rug patterns of the southwest. Measuring 3″1/2  x  2″1/2. A FREE  custom leather belt ( black or brown) comes with the purchase. Chip inlay is a method where cavities in jewelry are filled with a mixture of crushed stone, typically turquoise and coral, and epoxy resin. The piece is then polished smooth after the resin has hardened.
