GOLDEN HILLS TURQUOISE:
In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
This large pendant is set in solid sterling silver with a single piece of Golden Hills turquoise measuring 2-1/2″ in total length including the beautifully stamped bail. The actual setting measures approximately 2″ x 1-5/8″ .The wide flat silver that wraps around the stone has highly detailed stamp work with scalloped edges . Donovan Cadman is a Navajo artist who created this piece, he is working out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a beautiful pendant.
