Product Description

This very unique Reversible pendant is totally hand made of solid sterling silver.  Featuring the Hopi traditional “Journey” Maze on one side and the “Tohono O’odham Maze” on the other. The pendant was designed, crafted and signed by the artist Veryl Pooyauma from the village of Hotevilla on the Hopi reservation. The pendant is approximately 1 inch in diameter, done in the traditional Hopi overlay style that consists of 2 pieces of silver, by being reversible this piece has 4 separate pieces os silver. The rare “Man in the Maze” design is certain to add to any collection.

Veryl Pooyouma

Veryl Pooyouma from the village of Hotevilla. He is full blood Hopi of the Sun and Corn Clan. Started learning the art of silversmith by watching well known Hopi artists, Charles Loloma and Lawrence Saufkie. He is a self-taught artist and started making pieces at the age of 17. Most of his work show traditional Hopi designs with some contemporary work. He works with stones and gold on occasions. Veryl makes a wide range of pieces from the traditional pieces to the custom made pieces. All of his work projects Hopi symbolism’s which reveal the Hopi spirits and life.
