The Zuni create many different animals and birds these days. Creatures that they see during their daily lives that may not provide benefit or blessing . In creating some of these creatures they attempt to get the figure as life like as possible thus featuring some of the finest carvings available. This beautiful Raven stands approximately 1 3/4 inch tall by 3/4 inches wide and is exquisitely carved with every detail of Black marble. He has Turquoise inlayed eyes and a Red Coral piece in his mouth . Hand carved by Zuni Artist Calvot Bowannie. Actual piece may vary from photo as each piece is entirely hand carved.
